After graduating from the Fashion Design & Technology program at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, Allison Smith paid her dues in Montreal’s rag trade before starting Allison Wonderland in 1998 and Pillar in 2011. From a desire to create clothes for the way women really live, Allison creates go-to pieces often inspired by her favourite decade - the 70s. The result: clothes that exude both playfulness and effortless style.
Allison adheres to a “slow fashion” point of view, creating new styles every season but with a quality and timelessness that allow her pieces to be enjoyed for years. Both lines are made in Vancouver in collaboration with local small businesses; scraps are donated to be used by local crafters as part of Allison’s commitment to a light footprint.
Allison Wonderland is designed for a woman’s beautiful everyday life: fun, feminine and chic pieces that truly fit, flatter, and feel good, whether at work, running around town, or celebrating the good times with family and friends. In Allison Wonderland, you’re ready for it all.
Pillar, is Allison's eco line, created using eco-friendly fabrics such as organic cotton, recycled polyester, and hemp, Pillar is Allison Wonderland’s laid-back little sister. Born of Allison's desire to explore designs for different lifestyles - and personal styles - Pillar offers up your perfect weekend wardrobe, ideal for chilling at your local coffeeshop with friends, walking on the beach, or hanging at the playground with your kid.
